I recall him saying that he was randomly going to give away 5 pieces/cards that had been autographed.
Well, he can show up that loser Jesus and prove who has the most valuable diaper
Not to mention, the whole stunt was probably cooked up to counter the ongoing own-goal of Trump insisting that the Presidential Medal of Freedom is better than the Congressional Medal of Honor.
I think it was to bring the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle back to the forefront – the families had soldiers killed in that mess, I think.
That was three years ago. Don’t you find the timing … convenient?
Right, it’s the 3rd anniversary of the end of the US presence in Afganistan.

Let’s make sure we’re discussing changes in Trump since the DNC, and not using this thread as (yet another) catch-all thread to point out his many quirks. It’s getting off track. Thanks.
Oops, sorry. I blame Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The accusations of Biden getting doped up were very telling from a campaign like Trump’s. I’ve heard that The Candyman Ronny Jackson has been visiting Trump.
All one has to remember is that if Trump is accusing someone else of doing something, it’s what he’s actually doing.
He did NOT get shot in the head. Someone shot in his direction, but he did not get shot in the head.
Sigh. He got shot AT, and the projectile nicked a body part that was protruding from and attached to the side of his head.
My point, which you probably actually got, is that an event like this (i.e., someone apparently trying to kill you) has an effect on a person whether or not they acknowledge it. I believe we are seeing some fallout from that attempt on his life.
Of course, the whole episode might have been faked. That possibility is not zero.
That didn’t happen either. No bullets hit any of his body parts.
Yes, he did get shot at, I don’t deny that. I agree that it shook up his world view. But he didn’t get his ear shot.
People did die, but trump did NOT get shot or nicked or anything like that. He’s just a fat old man who didn’t know how to fall despite the bodyguards trying to protect him.
One person was shot and killed. Two others were shot and injured. Those were definitely not faked.
Yes, he did. His ear got nicked by something and it bled for a bit. If that bit was faked, while other people died, that was a helluva elaborate ruse.
Sorry. I was unclear. He did NOT get nicked by a bullet. No bullet got close enough to him to make him bleed.
Today on NPR I heard him say in some interview that if Jesus, or someone as fair as Jesus, did the vote counting he would easily win in California because the Hispanics love him. Saying something that sounds like it’s coming from a lunatic isn’t staying on script. He can’t stay on script. It’s not his nature, and never will be.
They also mentioned that Trump is likely going to drop out of the first debate with Harris because he thinks it wouldn’t be fair to him. I think he’s afraid of her as opposed to debating Biden, but as a pathological narcissist he would never admit that publicly or even privately.

Those engaging in the discussion about whether Trump was actually hit by a bullet or a fragment or something else, please drop it. It’s not the subject of this thread. Thanks.
My point all along has been that an assassination attempt is going to have an additional destabilizing effect on someone who is already mentally unstable. And that that destabilization is part of the increasing flakiness we’re seeing in trump since the DNC.
I understand that, and it’s a fair point to make. I just wanted to stop the back-and-forth about what the exact cause of the trauma was.
Yes, that was a distraction that obscured my point.
