Channel One

Actually, there is a Channel One. It’s a news channel for teens that gets broadcasted to schools around the U.S., and perhaps in other countries.

Welcome TGFTP.

Don’t forget to link to the article in question (such board etiquette is listed in the FAQ and in the ‘sticky’ post at the top of each forum section).

Why is there no Channel One on television?

Peace.

Channel One Network is a satellite subscription service for schools – “Channel One” is just a name. It isn’t “VHF channel one” (44 to 50 MHz) any more than MTV is “channel M.”

ChanelOne is a brand name, owned by Primedia, whom I like, because they sign my paychecks.

It is a satellite broadcast service, and does not in any way correspond to the first-channel frequency range of the VHF spectrum.
