Character Names you love

Mary Worth just introduced an evil busybody named Nelly Feneley.

That’s the character’s name now as far as I am concerned.

And Col. “Bat” Guano. “…if that is your real name.”

I can’t decide if it’s incredible or offensive, but there’s a DC character named Manchester Black, a black guy from Manchester:roll_eyes:

Or “Long Dong Silver.”

“Bat” Guano is in Dr. Strangelove, not Catch 22. Heller had nothing to do with it.

sigh That’s what I get for posting without coffee.

Krell

Koloth

Korax

Kang

Kahless

Only in the latest Supergirl movie, in the comics he’s always been portrayed as a white man.

Professor Quincy Adams Wagstaff
Rufus T. Firefly

Otis P. Driftwood
Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush

Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox, too.

Heh.

Rick & Morty’s galaxy-wide famous civil rights leader has a good name: Shrimply Pibbles. (Season 2 Episode 8).

The Carol Burnett Show wasn’t necessarily known for out-there names, but Boss Tudball did have an appropriate one. (Tim Conway character in the later years.)

Johan Sebastian…

Montana Wildhack, from Slaughterhouse Five

Chester Gould gave Dick Tracy some interesting enemies, with names (nicknames, really) derived from their physical features or characteristics – Littleface Finney, Flattop, Mumbles, Pruneface. Sometimes he was lazy and simply made the character’s last name a word spelled backwards. Ages before Stephen King’s “The Shining”, he had a character named “Joe Redum” (who, like later comic book characters like The Blank, appeared to have no facial features). Or the unlikely “Joe Toirtap” (who was, predictably, a Good Guy)

Not a bad guy, but B O Plenty is a great name as well.

McLovin’

It’s the name I gave my Halfling Artificer in D&D.

They need to study comics then. He showed up a couple times (as a black guy) in The Flash TV show

My apologies, he was in the Supergirl TV show, not the movie. That is the same universe as the Flash TV show, same character, same actor. But that’s the only time he’s been portrayed as Black. I don’t believe he’s ever been Black in the comics, but I don’t have much experience with the current comics.
