Pretty much every comic book hero and villian has died and come back multiple times.
I’ve never been a Soap Opera fan, but I’ve known a number of them, and I can see them doing something like that because they are pretty fanatical about their soaps! LOL
A mundane and useless fact: I was born in a general hospital, Pittsfield General Hospital, but I never got on TV. ![]()
As I recall, he was saved because he got a good response from test audiences who didn’t want to see him killed off.
When Pinocchio was first published as a magazine serial the puppet died by hanging in the fifteenth chapter. Due to popular (and editorial) demand he was brought back by the Blue Fairy for another twenty chapters.
Ninja’d! But I have the quote. ![]()
- Rose Schwartz: The guy was killed in an auto accident! I looked it up! He was driving in the Yukon, in a pink convertible, to visit his brother who’s an ex-con named Frances, when a tractor trailer comes along and decapitates him. You know what that mean, it means he doesn’t have a head. How am I suppose to write for a guy who doesn’t have a head? He’s got no lips, no vocal cords. What do you want me to do?
- David Barnes: They froze the head. They put it on ice. They put it back on in a precedent setting two-day operation. You know, its like, would you use your imagination.
- Rose Schwartz: He doesn’t have a head!
Yeah, that’s definitely “flimsy” ![]()
But they still brought him back!
Hey, you never heard of the Resurrection?! So there is a precedent. ![]()
Kirk was missing and presumed dead in the Tholian Web, too, if I recall correctly (until he turned up in Uhura’s quarters - hmm)
I’ve always wondered what the official reaction from Vulcan was when it became known that Kirk hadn’t died after all. Wouldn’t Spock have had to go back and finish the wedding ceremony?
I suppose the story was “Kirk was beaten and thought to be dead, but recovered.” No need for the drugging to come to light. Since Spock rejected T’Pring after the fight ended, the wedding is off regardless of Kirk’s status - it’s just that before the shock of apparently killing Kirk, Spock wasn’t mentally capable of declining
“Let me get this straight-Your highly qualified doctor, using a tricorder, misdiagnosed his condition that badly??”
Prove he didn’t
They won’t have to. The Official Starfleet inquiry when they lodge a complaint with them will, though.
Starfleet (in Kirk’s era) can miss a lot of things if they don’t want to see them.
does anyone remember the Latino hit man (forgot his name) killed off in Miami Vice pilot, but brought back as conman that Sony used periodically
Wasn’t Neelix in Voyager killed in one episode and revived?
Big mistake.
Yes, Seven of Nine used Borg technology to bring him back to life.
I’m pretty sure Harry Kim died several times over the series’ run.
Superman rather famously died in 1992.
