As a public service, I am pointing out that CC is on the cover of the June 2004 Playboy (she looks very odd on the cover) and inside in various stages of undress.
Hopefully she is paving the way for Willow, Anya, Jenny Calendar et al…
As a side note, all 3 pictorials are of brown-eyed, brown-haired women.

I agree that these pics are mediocre - but Charisma is smokin hot and I would rather see her than not…
One thing I’ve noticed while working in this biz is that there are plenty of women that you may think look utterly amazingly hot - until they get naked, when you see that they aren’t at all how you imagine.
And vice versa.
I think these pics do not really show off Charisma in he best light, and she’s looking a bit trampy and glaringly imperfect.
Ordinarily imperfections don’t bother me, but this is Playboy which is notorious for correcting flaws. If that’s how she looks (and talk about cliche poses) after flaws have been eliminated then she isn’t anything worth writing home about.
I think a better operating hypothesis is that the PB photographers are untalented hacks. As someone pointed out, the Maxim pictorial of CC was smoking. Granted, that was apparently one baby ago, still, the Playboy pics looks like they were posed and shot in fifteen minutes by someone who didn’t know how to use a light meter.
The Playboy pictorials of various famous people have been universally disappointing lately, even after granting them a bit of leeway because many of those celebrities (cough Darryl Hannah cough) are a bit past their sell date. For some reason, they seem to think that heavy color filters are artistic. As a result, a lot of the pictorials come across looking like they were shot in a heavy sand storm.
