I am looking for the Charles Dickens impersonator who did a performance at my junior high school in VA in the mid 1980s. Specifically, I bought a tape he had for sale and listened to it until it broke and I would like to replace it if possible. It was wonderful, talking about where the name Boz came from, and how Dickens sold the same physical books to the same people three times. I would love to let my kids listen to it as it made Dickens nearly bearable. Can’t read the works, but the life was fascinating.
I found a Roger Jerome, but he seems to have been doing this only since 1993. No other luck so far. Any ideas?
We had one who mimed both Poe and Twain-both were scarily authentic (well, as authentic as I could have imagined, never having known either of the originals personally or via films).
