At work I am chained to my computer, not my phone. I like to chat with some friends, but it is all across different formats, Yahoo messenger, facebook, skype, etc.
Is there an app for a PC computer that allows me to be in one place and chat to all the different formats ?

Probably none of my business, but have you checked that it’s permissible for you to do this at work? If your computer is on a managed corporate network, it’s quite likely an Admin will know what you’re doing.
And if that’s the case, try Pidgin Portable.
It won’t stop them seeing the traffic, but it will get around not being able to install software to your PC.
It’s the traffic that I think is the biggest risk.

Ah, not a problem in that case. I also recommend Pidgin.
Pidgin doesn’t do Skype though; Trillian apparently does (I don’t know how as Pidgin claim it’s IMpossible).
