I really hate to do this, but I have no choice. Do any of you wonderful Chemistry Geniuses out their have any ideas for a specific Chemistry research paper. It only has to be about 5-7 pages long. I am really sorry for bringing this up. Thank you all so much.
Argh Chemistry.
I can feel my brain struggling to kick into gear…
Nnnnnnggghhh…
Erm, maybe something like the structure of carbon-60 and 70.
Damned usefull little buggers them.
But only you can know what would be appropriate for your course and what you’re comfortable with writing about.
The one thing I learnt from Chemistry: the flame test colour for potassium is lilac.
And that’s all I remember…
Inorganic or Organic? Application of chemistry, or some kind of mechanism? I have a paper due on keto/enol equilibria this week. How about that? (can you send it to me when you’re done? - just kidding!)
I think you have to narrow down your subject a little more, since chemistry is a HUGE field. Kinds determine what aspect of chemistry you want to write about. Solids? There are some pretty interesing things to be said about solids (atomic, molecular, ionic, etc). Part of a course I’m taking had a whole section dedicated to symmetry within a molecule, and the point groups associated with it.
Or is you want some more basic inorganic stuff, how about some acid-base chemistry? Buffers are immensely practical in both inorganic and organic systems, not to mention biological.
SO what are you interested in? Then you can choose a topic!
Write something about turning pure ammonia into pure liquid or somehting, I just about that that in Death be not Proud.
Sorry to cange the subject, but read this book, it’s rrrrreeeeeeaaaaaaallllllyyyyyyy good.
The wonderful properties of water.
Methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl…
Alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics.
Saturated, unsaturated, polyunsaturated.
Acid + base = ester
There’s an ester called cadaverine.
That’s all I remember, and that was a stretch.
-The non-ideality of ethanol-water mixtures.
-Properties of beer flavoring compounds.
-Colligative properties of alcohol mixtures.
No, I am not a lush; this was my senior-year college project.
