I’m looking for which live version of Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White was used in the soundtrack for the movied Parents with Randy Quaid.

I’ve found 2 versions of the song done by Perez Prado online but neither of them is the one used in the Parents soundtrack.

Anyone know where I might get it?

I believe that the song has been covered by The Harmonicats, Pat Boone, and The Ventures…possibly more. I am not sure which version is on the Parents Soundtrack, maybe it’s a version done by one of these bands?

The version in the movie soundtrack is by Perez Prado.

Yep, I saw that link and the way the song is done feels very Prado. It just has a more ‘raw’ feeling that the other two versions I’ve heard and I’d really love to track that version down.

I’m not sure when it was recorded, but the version of Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White (Cerezo Rosa) I’m looking for that was on the Parents soundtrack is on *Lo Mejor de Lo Mejor*

According to the cite you gave the recordings you found are from the original mono tracks that Prado made for RCA in the 50’s. I will check the album that I have and let you know later.

The original version of “Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White” is from the movie Underwater! that featured an appearance by Prado. The song itself is originally a French song written in 1950.
