chewing on tinfoil

why does chewing on tinfoil hurt your teeth?
Does it just hurt if you have a cavity or fillings in your teeth?

No - I’ve got neither & when I did it, I wanted to be dead.

It hurts to just read this thread.

I imagine you are getting a galvanic reaction between the metal fillings and the aluminium foil - causing a little current to flow between them stimulating the nerve either directly or indirectly
