Chicago Dopers Beware...VileOrb Cometh

There are only 5 employees so far, and three of them are staying together in a temporary place in Evanston. There is no HR department as yet. I think my best bet is to live in a place where it is convenient to drive to work, and then I can use public transportation to get downtown for a social life.

I am probably going to drive over there this weekend and take a look around. I think that rogers park may be the best solution but I want to look the neighborhood over before I decide.

I definitely want to keep the commute to work under a half hour. If it’s going to take me longer than that from Roger’s park because of traffic, then I will go back to the Evanston idea and deal with the reduced hours for the el.

The transfer to the bus from the blue line is something I had thought about, but I’ve been doing a lot of bus transferring and walking between bus lines here in MN. I’m a bit sick of it. I’d like have my daily commute either by car or a single bus/train line. I am going to be making plenty of money. I can afford some convenience.

I don’t know about that - I’ve had good experiences there, and bad experiences there. For one thing, they don’t have real gyros. If you ask me, that ain’t right.

I don’t know - Rogers Park is just south of Evanston. Does it really make that big of a time difference?

Oh, and congratulations, VileOrb!

Anybody got any thoughts on Granada Center? It looks like a good location. The pictures on the web are nice. It’s in my price range.

Gundy… I never eat ethnic food at 24 hour diners.

Orb, I have to confess ignorance about Granada center, but to second gundy’s though, neighborhood factionalism aside, welcome to the town that (although I’ve only lived here 2 years) is the first town I’ve ever wanted to call home
