If this is in any way against forum rules, I invite a mod to inform me and close the thread. But as it is not my intention to profit from this, I think I’m safe.
I and a friend had intended to go see Jerry Seinfeld perform in Chicago on April 11th. My buddy has since developed some “family issues” which will prevent him from going, and I don’t care to go alone. This is a SOLD-OUT performance, and according to listed prices on ebay, I could probably get a couple hundred more than we paid for them. But I thought it would be a nice gesture to let a Chicago Doper (or other Doper willing to travel!) have them for what I paid at Ticket Master.
Mods: Reselling tickets IS NOT illegal here in Hawaii (only 29 states have anti-scalping laws), so I don’t think this infringes on the rule against promoting illegal activities either.
For anyone interested in going, please note that we purchased the tickets individually. So the seats are not together. We were just going to meet up again after the show to recount the laughter. I’m sure there are others who like us don’t mind sharing the experience from different parts of the room!
Again, I’m not looking to profit. I was reading a few threads about some of the cool things Doper’s have done for each other, and while I’m not quite willing to give the tickets away, I AM willing to forego the profit of scalping them on Ebay.
