Chicago enjoys political freedoms that the rest of the USA does not understand yet. Except for a few isolated counties across the US.
Why allow a sovereign federal currency control the law, or
even cross through the free markets, or represent a money that cannot be produced by those that must provide the income that pays to print them.?

Every place in the world has multiple non-sovereign currencies. There’s nothing special about Chicago in that regard. None of them are particularly widespread, because for most purposes, sovereign currencies are vastly superior to non-sovereign ones.
