Interesting. I can see how that might be good, but yes, that’s a very different beast than how they’re served at Roscoe’s. I don’t know about the other former chicken/waffle chain that was mentioned in this thread.
At Roscoe’s, it’s the syrup, the butter, the biscuits, grits, eggs…all kinds of breakfast food. And as I mentioned earlier, my personal favorite happens to be a chicken omelette.
However, Roscoe’s does serve a bevy of soul food dishses that are far more suited to lunch and dinner fair (greens, red beans & rice, mac’n’cheese, etc.) so I imagine you could ask for a dish that comes much closer to what you’re used to. I’ve just never seen it eaten that way there.
