For a while now I’ve been hearing that kids, girls especially, have been maturing faster due to the hormones in chicken. Supposedly the growth hormones used to enlarge the chickens in certain areas also enlarge girls in certain areas. The hormones have also been said to be the reason why girls are beginning to start puberty around 7 years old. Is any of this true, why are girls more effected then boys, is it because the chicken is female, has anyone tried to stop this, and are their any negative issues when a girl starts maturing so early?
It seems unlikely, or at least it hasn’t been proven yet.

Here’s another informative page: http://www.cfe.cornell.edu/bcerf/FactSheet/Diet/fs37.hormones.cfm
Okay, I can’t make the link to the first page work. Search Google for the string menarche site:.stats.org and when the result comes up, click on “cached”.
