Hey, I’m sans child until the end of August, so I could actually attend something and not have to fret about finding a sitter, etc. In theory, I could even allow an out of towner to shack up here for the evening, though I’m inconviently located in the suburbs.
I’ve got “permission”! Hooray. Depending on when y’all plan it, he’ll either come with me or I’ll find someone to split the cost of a room with (Shadow???!).
The 11th is out for me altogether, but don’t plan around me.

I think we should rule out Labor Day weekend (September 1st is the Saturday)- too many people probably have plans already, and too many people travelling which will make it tougher for out-of-towners.
So we have August 4, 11, or possibly the 25th. I’m out of town the other August weekend, so I’m certainly not going to suggest that date. I don’t think anyone has said they couldn’t make it on the 25th, and maybe android will be in town.
So unless there are strenuous objections, how about August 25th?
If any ChiDopers are interested in a mini-ChiDope on August 4th or 11th, let me know. Maybe we can scope out a couple of locations for the big bash later in the month.

I’m still trying to recruit a Michigan contingent to come with me. Hubby has a concert sometime that weekend so I may come alone, *if I can find someone to share hotel costs with.
