Child with SS parents barred from San Diego (private) school.

That’s very interesting. I suppose then the parents were acting reasonably, and the school is using the child and her parents to prove they are True Christians.

Dear Parents of this child,

I apologize for calling you idiots.

Sincerely,
TriPolar

The school is plotting to keep the children of same-sex couples out. I don’t think that is very secret.

Regards,
Shodan

Setting up the parents so other people would GoFundMe for the school, as with Kim Davis, the anti-gay pizza shop lady, the wedding cake baker, and so on.

I send my son to a private Christian school, and there is at least one same sex parenting couple there, who I know because they also attend my church.

It is not always obvious where a school falls on the spectrum.

If it is now, then the political climate has shifted considerably from when I was a lad.

We did elect Roger Hedgecock, after all.

“We’re using the fundamentalist Christian definition of the term non-discrimination, meaning that we define the word in a way that doesn’t include people we find icky”.

I wondered about Stainless Steel parents…

Well, the Jewish people are…

I think it’s darned nice of this school to point out to people that they’re going to blame kids for things they know they didn’t do. Saves a lot of time, really.

No, the parents are still idiots. They enrolled their child in a school that is/was going to teach their child, for years, that her parents are evil and will burn in hell forever.

The school hadn’t updated their rule book when the kid started attending. Only after she’d been there a while did they start discriminating against THAT SORT of sinner–& their offspring.

Generally speaking, church-based/religious-based educational institutions in the Western world (i.e., most of them of pre-Enlightenment foundation, and post-Enlightenment a great many) have no very consistent track record for inquiring into the moral character of students’ parents. Nor could they survive if they did.

I’m sorry, but, yes, you are.
