Children always walk to School.

But they always run home.

Why?

Disagree with the premise. I walked both ways as a kid.

my daughter runs both ways, or skips…

Somebody really has to ask this question?

In what 1950’s universe? There’s a long lineup of cars outside of almost every school I see these days.

Don’t want factual answer.

Why? Because play is more fun than work.

I walked to the bus stop in the morning because I wanted to spend as little time there getting beat up as possible.

I ran home from the bus stop in the afternoon to escape the kids trying to beat me up.

I *so *like being a grown-up.

excretory distress develops later in the day.

Cartoons.

Cookies.

Moving from IMHO to MPSIMS.

This is also my answer. Kids’ legs are going to atrophy and fall off from never being allowed to set foot on ground any longer.

I don’t want to blow your minds and send you guys into seizures but this 1950’s universe is here and now and in this universe!

My nephew and several of his friends in the third grade walk to and from school EVERYDAY!

Myself I always pogo sticked to and from school even after I got a car because cars are for assholes.

Since I only lived a block and a half away from school in a very small town, I walked… uphill both ways through 3 feet of snow  .

Even after we moved, I was still only about a block and a half from school.

“Don’t look now! I think that gymnasium is gaining on us!”

Because they can’t make the school out of the stuff they make the black boxes out of.

In my personal experience, because Dark Shadows started at 3:00, and if I ran home I only missed the first 5 minutes.

See, people think it’s great that kids walked/ran to and from school, but they were only running home to vegetate in front of the TV.

I never ran home. Home was worse than school. Even with the bullies.
