So the Torch is coming through Bangkok this Saturday, and there IS a protest rally planned after all. See here. A march is involved, and a map of the route is here. Maybe it’ll be a hot time in Bangkok in more ways than one this Saturday. 
Well THIS is a revolting development. The Thai government announced today that any foreigner protesting Saturday’s Olympic Torch run through Bangkok WILL be arrested and deported. If said foreigner has Permanent Residency status in Thailand, that will be revoked forever. 
Hardly surprising, I guess, after the Thai foreign minister was just in Beijing aassuring the kind folks in the government of Thailand’s full support for their Tibet policy.
