Chiropodist?

Are there any practicing chiropodists around anymore? Are there any chiropody programs in any of the teaching hospitals?

Tons. But they’re generally called Podiatrists in the states.

I’m not entirely certain, but aren’t the elusive chiropdists M.D.s? Podiatrists are D.P.M’s.

Well, in England they’re considered the same. And they don’t seem to require the MD degree to be one there.

And it’s in the UK where you’ll find most of them.

I suppose an MD or DO who specialized in foot surgery couldcall himself a chiropodist. But it appears most don’t.
