Blinding, screaming pain, for sure. Just a couple caveats:

I’m not sure I could take it if the pain were random. If I could choose the time, it’d be 8am. Better take it on the chin first thing and keep going.

Depends on how either type of pain affects my sleep. If I constantly wake up with nightmares about being in excruciating pain, that would wear on me after a while. OTOH, if I dread going to bed because I know I have to face more dull, relentless pain the next day, that’d be equally bad.
