The point is not that you were using a term with insufficient “authority of language expertise”, but that you were using a somewhat vague ordinary-language synonym of a recognized technical term instead of the technical term itself, so we weren’t entirely sure what you meant by it. The misunderstanding has now been straightened out.
But in this instance the English word “intercede” has a specific theological meaning which is not equal to the English word “intervene”. As Diogenes and Kimstu point out, what you said was misleading.
Yeah, an Intervention of the saints makes it sound like they come down from heaven and take you to an AA meeting.
