OK, The Onion does it again: Skeptic Pitied.

Yeah, but what has empirical science done for me lately?
It just reminds me of the conflicts we’ve had on this board - both in the sometimes pious, holier-than-thou attitudes towards non-believers, and the kinds of discussions we have about the validity of faith-based value systems.
I particularly liked the Scientologist part.

Heh.
“[sub]Christians, Atheists, and Dopers[/sub]”
Well, Sir: What about us agnostics? When are we to receive equal recognition? Is our rightful place in the New World Order to be eternally denied to us?
Humph!
Well, according to the article, you can either be pitied for your lack of faith, or pity others for not giving faith a chance. It’s up to you, you damn fence-sitter!

OK, as long as I’m pitied and not pitted.
Yeah, I book-marked that one.
Maybe. Can’t really tell for sure without any facts to base the decision on. In the meantime, here’s a seating chart for the NWO in case you’d like to reserve seats.
Lets face it, Agnostics are the Bisexuals of the Religious Debate. Both sides disregard Agnostics as either wimps who can’t make up their minds or phony Atheists and/or Christians who are just trying to be interesting. I personally don’t ID as Agnostic for just that reason, when asked whether I believe there IS or is NOT a God/s, Reincarnation, Higher State of Being, Invisible Pink Unicorn, whatever, I say
“What do I believe? I believe that people who are arrogant enough to think that they know the true nature of the Universe are assholes”
There’s nothing wrong with being an agnostic, I experimented with agnosticism back in college and I don’t regret a single moment!!! Sometimes I find myself being undecided regarding a higher power and boy oh boy does it feel good.
This quote is attributed to Cecil Rhodes: “God? I give him 50/50. He may exist, he may not. I don’t bother him.”
That’s MY idea of agnosticism, and I’m stickin’ to it!
Does this really belong in IMHO? I’m skeptical.
Off to MPSIMS.
But did you inhale?
Is that what they call lipstick agnosticism?
Got Paganism?
