Christians. You Love Jesus? Why?

I didn’t think we were talking swords, and yes a coin and a pancake have 2 sides, the real worth is in the material. If we were more civilized swords would be unnecessary!

There is a big difference between belief and truth. I see nothing wrong with belief,I just prefer truth!

What is truth?

That which is there whether you believe in it or not.

Ahhh. So truth is objective then?

If a man walks past the edge of a cliff, can his belief or disbelief change the outcome?

Yes. That’s what makes it the truth in the first place.

Why would you offer an oblique analogy when so many highly relevant ones are available?

For example, If FriarTed believes that the universe is governed by a creator, and further believes that at some point in the future he will make himself manifest in some clear way-----like Armageddon of The rapture or something------ can his belief possibly change the outcome?

No.

Unless he builds God & a time machine and sends God back to create the universe.

I’m not sure what you mean by this question.

Truth is what is…even if unknown!

So you are saying that if no one had ever written the Bible, you feel confidant that you would still know that there was a God and that he had sent his son to save you 2000 years ago? Stuff you’ve read in the Bible doesn’t inform your views on God and Jesus at all?
