Christmas Cards in the UK (in the 1970s)

A rather specific and bizarre request:
Tell me about trends in Christmas Cards in England from the 70’s. Popular designs, companies, colo(u)rs, etc. Were they generally the folded kind that came in envelopes, or was it more common to send postcards? Glossy finishes or matte? Were embossed designs popular?

The 70’s happened before I was born, and the UK is all the way across that Atlantic Ocean, so I’m afraid my knowledge on the subject is rather sparse.

They were the same as you get now . So they were the folded sort you put in envelopes. As for the designs they haven’t changed much either. So you would have had robins, stagecoaches in the snow, Christmas trees, reproductions of religious paintings etc. Some were embossed and some had glitter on them. So really not much has changed over the years.
