Chrome v. Firefox

I have seen the beta and it looks awfully close to a hybrid of Chrome and IE.

Oh, 9. I got it mixed up with 8, the current version. IE8 was actually pretty innovative, and Microsoft rarely gets credited with that so I was thinking it was really unfair to say that 8 stole from Chrome. My mistake.

Yeah: IE7 and 8 both stole from Firefox (tabs, separate search bar, extensions, standards compliance). Now everyone is stealing from Chrome. If only Chrome would steal back, I might actually enjoy using it.

Well, since it’s going to be coming out soon, I thought it would be a good idea to mention. If Ellis Dee is anything like me, I’d bet Firefox 4 will be out before she’s finished making up her mind.

Also, a quick tip for beta testing: always sequester or backup your original data. I’ve gotten lucky that Firefox 4.0b7 has worked so well–heck, I downgraded from 4.0b8, as it introduced some bugs.

hehheh, yep.
