I can supposedly get broadband wireless with a card in my PC anywhere I can get their cellular service.
Does anyone use it and have an opinion?
Thanks

Funny, I posted a question on this over at Howard Forums last night. It was immediately closed.
I use Cingular Blue (AT&T) GPRS service. Don’t use a PC card, but link to my phone via Bluetooth. This was/is allowed on my older AT&T plan. Cingular is now rolling out EDGE, which is faster. With GPRS I generally get around 60 kbps; EDGE is supposed to be more like 500 kbps.
Data service can be expensive. The “Laptop Connect Unlimited” plan now has a promotional rate of $60/month with a two year contract. This gives you a separate phone number for your PC card with a data-only plan.
Cingular also offers data service which is shared with a voice plan. There are two categories of these: MEdia Net Bundles and MEdia Net Packages. These are much less expensive. The terms of use for the bundles specifically does not allow tethering to a computer. MEdia Net Packages are new and the terms for the packages are not at all clear on tethering. (My question on Howard Forums was about this.)
The general feeling seems to be that all MEdia Net plans are for use only on the phone and no tethering is permitted. Many people do tether. A few bundles users have received huge bills for data services because they have voilated the terms of use.
FYI, T-Mobile offers data plans which specifically do allow tethering.
