Civil asset forfeiture question

From News of the Weird comes the following:

The Minnesota Supreme Court upheld the DUI-forfeiture of a man’s $40,000 SUV, which was confiscated by police when the man was found drunk, sitting in the driver’s seat listening to music, in his driveway, on the day he bought the vehicle.

I find this disturbing, and I’ll note both that: a.) I’m no friend of civil asset forfeiture and b.) I recognize that much that is presented in commercial media is written to punch our buttons. So, does anybody have any more info on this particular incident? Was the guy actually DUI? Or just presumed so? Charges filed? Outcome?
