Nah, this is an easy call for SCOTUS. They don’t really care about Trump. I long ago predicted they would not give him this win, because they can look like they “have one or two vertebrae” with no skin in the game whatsoever.
The thing to remember is, they’re not advancing Trump’s agenda. They’re advancing Project 2025 and the Federalist Society’s agenda. Sometimes it makes it look like they’re serving Trump, but that’s not their goal.
In this case, they can look like they’re being tough on him, which pleases people and makes them believe the SCOTUS is still somewhat impartial. They’re not.
