This is the part I still don’t understand. How does pretending that a pussy hat is about cats destigmatize the word pussy?
I mean, you said it was “utter ignorance”, which I pushed back on, because in my opinion someone who misremembers them as “vagina hats” kinda has the main point correct, and misremembers a small detail.
I agree that anyone continuing to use the wrong term for something after being corrected is probably being a jerk. I get from your comments that you interpret my posts as doing so, but I’m not.
Another way to frame it: If you had to pick between two inaccurate misrememberings of it, “womens marchers wore cat hats” and “womens marchers wore vagina hats”, which of those is the more accurate? I think it’s the latter.

No, they don’t have the main point correct, the completely miss the point. And that they don’t understand, or that they misremember is ignorance.
“Utter”, meaning complete or absolute, in that it is not a small detail, it is sorta the entire point.
Anyone using the term “vagina hat” is either utterly ignorant as to the entire point of the whole project, which can be cured, or if they continue, then they are deliberately being insulting and derogatory towards those who protested against Trump bragging about committing sexual assault.
I’ll admit to not having seen every vagina in the world, but I’ve never seen a vagina that looked anything like that. Having watched a little bit of anime, I have seen cat ears like that.

We’ve been seeing it all summer long. It is an entirely one sided problem.
If you think a democratic victory will smooth things over, well, it will probably make things worse. Look at Seattle and Portland which are overwhelming liberal. Their Democratic mayors are even in danger of being driven from their homes by violent leftist mobs.
Poor people, for good reasons, vote D. Poor people, for good reasons, are right now protesting against police brutality and racism. Of course all that is going to happen in Dem-run cities, how else could it happen?
And it’s certainly not a one-sided problem. We have seen appearances in the streets by armed RW militias, and even by the “Boogaloo Boys” who apparently want to turn this civil unrest into a race war.
I stick by the OP – a Biden victory will be just what it takes to mollify the BLM protesters.

The “trouble” on the streets amount to some minor property damage. The trouble in the GOP is destroying a nation, a democracy, and the sanctioned mass murder of Americans on false pretenses.
The “left” is concerned about the well being of a nation and its people. The GOP is concerned about the power and wealth of a few corrupt diaper-lickers, happily inciting a civil war in order to seize and maintain power through authoritarian ethnonationalism.
Boo hoo, cry me a river about hoodlums robbing Best Buys and keeping mayors up past 9pm. Yawn. The Democratic cities’ incidents have one thing, at least, that the GOP doesn’t: their leaders at least PRETEND to give a fuck about American lives.
I know this is several days old but I appreciated this side track. I never knew it was anything but women wearing labia on their head, neither did my wife. I do remember reading how the hats weren’t inclusive because they didn’t represent those who’s parts weren’t all pink. But of course a 30 second google on the issue brings up a story that starts off calling them cat ears so that certainly doesn’t help my recollection.
