Claes Oldenburg?

There is an AT&T commercial where the background changes about twice a second as the pitch unfolds in the foreground. In the first scene there is a large sculpture that resembles a partially deflated blimp. Now, I am fairly sure that is a product of artist Claes Oldenburg, but I have never seen it before. Can someone enlighten me as to its location and maybe a little about it?

Nope. It’s Cloud Gate, from Anish Kapoor, per its wiki. Ad in question here.

I love Oldenburg (and he’s a hoot in person) so I was really excited by your post.

Moved MPSIMS --> Cafe Society.

Yes, that looks nothing I have ever seen coming from Oldenburg’s brain. It would have been so nice if an idea he had for an open place just one block away from my office had been realised: a giant wing nut slowly screwing itself up and down an equally giant bolt.

Thanks for the responses, folks, and on further reflection it would have been an unusual product for Oldenburg as all his creations are giant objects, recognizeable for what they are: giant clothespin, giant hat, giant whatever. This one is much too abstract.
