Classic arcade games in Java. This is cool.

I might have put this up a long time ago, but here it is again, since I was just playing Donkey Kong Junior and tearing it up.

Norbert’s Emulators. He has all sorts of cool games, in addition to a NES emulator. Some are buggy, but it’s still a blast from the past.

Enjoy. I’m off to play Joust.

Oh sweet. Thanks for the link.

Dude - I’m in your debt.

Damn you! Now they’ll never pry the keyboard away from my cold, dead fingers when the time comes.

I have been reunited with Amidar. You’re my new hero, Airman.

Uh…why isn’t it working for me?

It seems to be a bit problematic for me as well. I found that you have to mash the coin key a buncha times, wait, and then it’ll start working. That’s in IE, I couldn’t get it to work in Opera at all.

Coin key? All I get is the background with a little square w/a zig zag line in it in the upper left hand corner.

You’ve got Java installed on your machine? And are you using the latest IE? When I try to run it in Opera I get about the same thing, no square though. There’s an error on the page which won’t let it load properly in browsers that aren’t highly fault tolerant. You might want to check to see what version of Java you’re running. It needs 1.33 or higher to work.

I’m running IE 6.0.28.1106IC.

As for Java, I click on Tools ans Sun Java Console and it tells me I am running 1.4.1_01.

Sounds like you might have Java disabled… try opening IE (or whatever browser you use), go to Tools, then go to advanced… see if there is an option to turn on Java.

Sorry for the vague directions, but I don’t know what browser or version you are using.

Java is enabled, btw.

D’OH!

Hamsters took forever to get 'round to my post… sorry, carry on!

How’s your connection speed? It seems to take the stuff some time to load on a dial up.

I have a cable modem.

Sweet. BTW, what was the game that had a dude saying “Intruder alert! Intruder alert!” Was it RObotron or something like that?

I believe it was Beserker.

KILL THE INTRUDER!

KILL THE HUMANOID!

Peoo! Peoo!

“coins detected in pocket”

Hmmmm. Perhaps it’s your firewall settings then.
