Does anyone remember watching a film strip back in grade school long ago, around Halloween, called “Danse Macabre”, set to that classical music with the slide show containing paintings of skeletons dancing around?
(Not the Bald Mountain cartoon)
We used to watch it in music class every year on Halloween.
There seems to be several people online asking about this, and lots who remember, but no one seems to be able to find the original images used for the slide show. There’s a lot of remakes of it on You Tube, but no originals. The original paintings we very “uncartoony”, more like watercolors I think. If anyone remembers this and can find it, they win the thread:)

I remember this too. We watched it in grade school music class during the 1970s. It was always a big hit, because, hey, SKELETONS. We were easily amused.
I would suggest asking about it over at AVGeeks. If anyone would know where to find it, it would be them; it’s right up their alley.

I remember one that was incredibly basic - like the skeletons were black on white, and the movements were syncopated but kind of herky-jerky. Is that the one you’re looking for?

I never knew any of these existed till now. I’d have LOVED that when I was in grade school (1967-1974)!
