Classical and Romantic Periods in Music

I have just a few more questions I need a little help on.

  1. How many movements are in Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique?

  2. What is the Moldau?

  3. What are most of Chopin’s pieces written in?

  4. Schubert and the art song - how many did he write? What forms did he use? Erlking - who is the poet?

A river

An unanswerable question. You have to consider those which have been lost, and those of uncertain authorship. But hundreds.
Now pray tell, are we doing your homework for you?

I have most of them written in a book. What do you have them written in?

Are we doing your homework here?

Ink?

They are written in the standard musical notation, consisting of staffs (staves?) with five lines and four spaces…

  1. How many movements are in Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique?
Five. The standard is 4, for the Romantic Era was all about breaking the rules.

  2. What is the Moldau?
A river in the Czech Republic. The Czech name for it is Vltava.

  3. What are most of Chopin’s pieces written in?
    No idea.

  4. Schubert and the art song - how many did he write? What forms did he use? Erlking - who is the poet?
Don’t know about the first two parts, but this link answers the question about the Erlking.
