Classical Sculptures in Contemporary Clothing

The effect is much more striking than I had anticipated after reading the headline.

Body language I had assumed was artistic, elevated, and aimed at an audience long dead turns out to be body language I am completely familiar with in the world I live in.

Does this mean contemporary ads are drawing (consciously or un-) on classical poses?

Or that body language (at least among europeans through the last several centuries) is not as variable as I might have supposed?

Or that putting clothes on a statue distorts (rather than, as I am supposing, reveals)?

Or something else?
