Clean off your WHOLE car you lazy bastards!!

Here is a clue for you my friend, clearing a hole in your front and rear window just enough so that your beady little eyes can see the road is NOT cleaning off your car!! Do you realize I had to follow your dumb ass 10miles on a one lane road with snow and ice just blowing off your car, right onto my windshield and car.

Its not enough I get crap from all the slush/salt over the roads. Or from the wind swirling around so much my car moves…I have to put up with lazy asses like you making my commute just a bit more of a bitch than it already is.

Lemme ask you…are you crippled? No? Are you to short to reach the roof of your car, or the hood, the trunk, headlights, tail lights? No you say? Were you running so late to work this morning you didnt have the extra 5mins to do the job right? Ah, No again eh? Well then, are you just a fucking inconsiderate little bastard whos only thought is for themselves? Do you even give a damn that the 5mins you save in the morning makes every other person behind you want to wring your freakin neck? Not to mention the extra danger you put them in because YOU were to fucking lazy to do the job right.

If you are to fucking dumb to know you should clean your whole car off after a snow, please do us all a favor and stop driving.

I bet he was one of the ones who cause all the freakin’ accidents this morning. It took me two fucking hours to get to work this morning for a drive that’s normally 20-30 minutes. I doubt he was on time. I don’t think many people were today.

Side rant If you are going to start blocking off a major road during rush hour at a traffic light, for the love of fuck, please set up someone to direct traffic. 4 lanes of traffic having to turn left during a rather short left turn signal makes for a huge backup and a lot of mess. End side rand

I got some flak from co-workers once for brushing the snow off of the hood and trunk of my car.

“Dude, why are you brushing that off? It’ll just blow away when you’re driving.”

Yeah, ok, so it was after work (meaning it was past midnight) and there weren’t many other cars on the road. Still!

tell me at least that you smacked him once upside his head!!

Dob, meet dav.

I hate these guys. When Seattle got dumped on earlier this week, I spent ten minutes the following morning brushing everything off my roof, hood, spare tire on the back, etc., because I am a responsible cohabitant of the public roads.

And of course I ended up behind a jackass who was just sheeting this crap onto my windshield.

Maybe the person recently moved to the area? I have never lived in snow, so I wouldn’t think to do that. Then again, some people are just assholes.

I am of less than average height. I own a mini van. I cannot reach the roof. I live in the snow belt.

Deal wth it.

I thought this rant looked familiar. But well said, Dob, in any case.

My boyfriend occasionally fails to clean his car off properly. I give him shit for it every time.

MacGuffin … They sell special snow brushes, with telescopic handles, for minivans and tall vehicles. I believe one of the name brands is Oskar. My friend is pretty short and considers this invention the best thing since sliced bread. I’m thinking, if someone owns a minivan, chances are that children are passengers. That’s even more of a reason to try to be extra safe on the roads.

I’m short (ish). I have a mini-van (no kids, though). I also have a telescoping brush. It doesn’t reach the whole roof of the mini-van, not even close. I can get my whole front windshield though. The van has mostly vertical surfaces, and it does bother me that I can’t reach the roof. Around here, though, it seems to be the norm to do a quick job; after a heavy snow very few cars are totally cleaned off. I suspect the majority of the totally clean cars are garaged. My van’s luggage rack is just a tad too high so the vehicle won’t fit in the garage.

Another reason I’m glad I live in Southern California

It’s your responsibility to clean the snow off your vehicle before driving. If you can’t physically do that, perhaps you should consider driving something else.

Another point:

Remove the snow that is piled up in front of your headlights, taillights and license plates.

I have to confess. I sometimes don’t completely clean my car off if I’m in a hurry. I clean off the windshield, and back window, and side windows, and mirrors, and the hood, and the headlights, and the taillights, and the trunk, and the roof…but sometimes, I might leave a couple of small clumps on the front bumper and/or the rear bumper if they don’t block the headlights/taillights and the license plate. I don’t think that ever blows off though. Those clumps stick to that bumper like glue until the temp gets high enough to melt it; they’re always still there when I get to work. Sometimes, if the temp stays cold, they’re still there when I get out of work at the end of the day and I brush 'em off them.

haha…thanks jeff o that was a good read.

Well when your midget lazy ass gets someone hurt because a piece of snow/ice hits someones windshield and causes an accident, im sure the fact your short will be a great comfort.

I live down south where that’s not much of an issue. Is cleaning the snow off required by the motor vehicle code? or is it just something to do if you want to?

Yeah, I live in the Deep South and it would have never occurred to me that I was supposed to clean off more of the car than I needed to see out of it. Is it really a law? Can they count the wreck as my fault if it’s my snow? Even if the guy hits me from behind?

Dosen’t matter, if it did snow at me I’d be too scared to drive in it anyway.

Yeah, where I live, if they predict snow we all go to the store and buy all the bread off the shelves and if it does snow, we stay home.
