Cleaning Question about Biz and Bleach

I’ve been given a task which involves removing a stain from cloth furniture using a bleach solution. Unfortunately, it turns out I have no bleach available. My question is, would this stuff “Biz” work in a similar way, or not?

Bleach can rot the fabric and discolor the cloth. Biz is detergent, so grease and dirt is taken care of with it. You’d be better of saying what the stain and fabric are for a proper solution.

It’s a bloodstain. I don’t know what kind of fabric it is. But it’s a mattress.

…you asked…

By the way, for all I know there’s more than one thing called “Biz.” This that I’m talking about touts itself as a “stain activated booster” and seems to be aimed specifically at stain removal.

Biz will work well on a bloodstain, as it is an enyzmatic cleaner made for cleaning up protein messes (like blood). I will say however that a touch of hydrogen peroxide (if the fabric can stand it) will do the same thing with less elbow grease.

If you have meat tenderizer that will also work. It will pull the blood out of the fabric.

I would use the hydrogen peroxide.

Glad this wasn’t another “need help fast” thread!

Use cold or lukewarm water, not hot. (Hot will “cook” the proteins.)

Thanks for the help everyone. Having no hydrogen peroxide around the house, I just used the Biz. It worked okay!
