I have a bunch of old home movies that have been converted from analogue to digital. The problem is that some of the tapes were quite badly degraded so the quality is very poor.
There seems to be a few software programmes that claim to be able to restore them but before I lay out any money I’d like to know if anyone else has used these products and if so how successful were they.
Sorry. No experience to make an informed suggestion by. All I can offer is to first check out the apps that have free trial versions and see how well they work for you.
It’ll probably mostly depend on what way the video has degraded - if its a matter of losing sync, or something like that, a program might help out quite a bit with locking that down. But to actually improve the video quality would be a lot tougher to do…
