Clicking a Google search result redirects me to a blank page, temporarily

When I do a Google search and click on a link, my browser (Firefox) goes to a http://www.google.com/url? site. It sits there for a few seconds and then redirects me to the site I wanted.

Using the address bar in the browser for either a complete URL or for an “I Feel Lucky” Google search works almost immediately, so it seems like it’s an issue with Google, or my poor implementation or configuration of some Google service.

It doesn’t redirect to any other site besides Google; meaning I’m not getting some scammy search portal page.

Help?

I’d say not to worry about it, then. The redirect is probably something Google does, relating to tracking traffic, and for whatever reason, it’s slow on your PC?
