Climbing Kilimanjaro--looking for a tour operator

I’m in the process of planning a Tanzania trip in February, but can’t quite decide on a tour operator. The lowest seems to be about $1000, but provides little more than a guide. The highest seems to be about $5000 which is way more than I want to spend. A couple of friends are going soon and plan to spend about $2,600 each, but I’d rather be closer to $2,000.

Curious to know if anyone has any recommendations. I realize it’s not a trip one should skimp on. But I don’t need a lot of extra frills.

We had a driver for our Tanzanian safari, which included a drive up to the mountain. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the name of the company.
