A commitment to support someone until the point that he (or in this case, she) has had his (or her) brains splattered all over the metaphorical highway and now has the same exact, technical, mathematical possibility of being nominated as any other person in the country currently having a heartbeat.
This point was reached several months ago. It was in all the papers.
The way I read this is that Hillary understands the mind of the predominantly female voters who backed her, the most vocal of which have had more than enough of the “give up, be quiet, let the men run things” attitude. She, if anybody, knows that their support must be transferred smoothly and visibly to the Obama camp. As a demographic, Women are the largest in the country; the situation must be handled with grace and empathy.
Meanwhile, the media yap on about controversy, but then again, the media always do.
