I never thought any less of the poster of the WTC thread because of the post. And I will bet if the parody was started by one of the protected species of this board it would still be open.

Maybe because Czarcasm doesn’t do vanity checks to see if people are talking about him? Did you even consider tossing a PM or email my way if you were so concerned that you had to post twice about it? Only one person bothered to do so-the thread has been reopened and moved to MPSIMS.

Yes, it means he didn’t see this thread. He wasn’t expecting or looking for a thread in ATMB asking about an action he took, so he didn’t realize there was a lynch mob with his name on it.
It’s like you’re all gathered at the pub waiting for Czarcasm to show up, but he’s out at the park walking his dog, and nobody bothers to pick up their cell phone. Instead everyone is just whining about how he isn’t here.
Czarcasm, now that you’re here, would you mind explaining why you closed that thread in the first place?
Hey, thanks for reopening it. My work is done! Actually, I wasn’t put out by the closing, just curious, because of the Threadspotting status and all. Since it wasn’t really a buring desire to know, I didn’t want to bother the guy by PM.
Good job fixing a bad decision. Nice when people can graciously admit when they are wrong.

This does not seem like a case of a sock or a troll, so I see no reason why an explanation can’t be public.
Again, folks-I’m not monitoring every thread I post in 24 hours a day. I thought that reopening the thread, moving it to MPSIMS and posting the notice here would satisfy those who wanted it open, so I went on to do other things. Asking for someone to respond in a thread she/he isn’t in at the time does no good, and it doesn’t matter how you phrase the question or how upset you get.
Why did I close it? The question wasn’t serious, and thus most of the responses were jokes and not anyone’s actual opinion on the subject. Upon review(and upon reading the one pm I did get on the matter), I realized I could have moved it to MPSIMS, so I reopened the thread and moved it.
This forum is great for talking about how this message board operates, but if you want a direct answer from a mod or admin, your best best is private messaging or maybe email. Try not to be the seventh or eighth person in line to demand answers from someone who isn’t actually there to respond.
I for one, Great Czar of Casm, applaud your re-opening and moving of the thread. Bravo.
