I am going to Phoenix for a conference and want to know if anyone knows of any great/funky women’s clothing stores, who stock size 18/20 there.
When I have been to both the East coast and West of the US I noticed more clothing options than here in the larger sizes, as most shops seemed to go to 18, which is a 20 here, and most shops here only go to an 18 (16 in US).
I can only help you find power tools, cameras and firearms but TheLadyLion and other friends will have some leads on BBWish clothing. Buffalo Exchange comes to mind. I think they may have sufficient funk but I think it’s second hand clothing.
Not that kind of funk, I’m sure they wash the clothes.
So when are you coming to the valley of the sun? The weather is finally cooling a bitg so you picked a good time. The PhoDopers haven’t had a fest since Jesus was a buck private and this seems like a good reason to have one.
Thanks for that Padeye - should I have the urge to cave in to SO and buy a power tool, I’ll be sure to ask your advice.
I’m not coming for ages - the first week in Feb. - hopefully the weather will be much cooler by then! I have to think this far ahead in order to get my conference proposal in, thinking about buying clothes keeps me from doing this you see.
The weather is actually very nice now but then again we just got through with summer so take that into account. Februrary is an excellent time to visit Phoenix apart from the excess snowbird traffic and giant brown cloud of smog™. It can get pretty cool at night but you won’t need a parka.
Let us know a bit ahead of time when you’ll be here and where your conference is. In the meantime we need to schedule a dopefest
