I bought the book Cloud Atlas prompted by a good review in a men’s magazine (GQ I think)
It’s been pretty interesting so far, with accounts form different people throughout history (all fictional of course), all being linked in some small way. Last night the book stepped up a gear in interestingness (word?) as I got to the first story of a futuristic genetically modified clone designed to serve at a fast food restraunt. The description of the future in this part of the book is marvelous. Most things are named as brands as some might already predict for the future (people drive ‘fords’ and have mini computers called ‘sonys’)
I am not sure how well known this book is but I definately reccomend it.
