I missed yesterday’s

Am I the only one who’s saving them up for Sunday, so I can do the whole week at once and see the story develop?

18 minutes today.

Well, I’ll be on an airplane on Sunday, so I’m certainly not doing that!

Also, i guess I’m not interested in the puzzles than the story.

I didn’t even know there was a story until this thread and I don’t care about it now that I know about it.

Again not double checking if the clue eliminated the last innocent or the last criminal in a column

Had to use the hint button for the first time for a long while. Couldn’t unravel Karen and Vince

One of the problems I run into is that I’ll figure out if someone is innocent or a criminal before the ‘correct’ clues have been revealed so it’s considered a wrong answer. Is there only one order to reveal the clues in? Sometimes I wonder if I found a different path that the author didn’t plan on?
I’ll have to go back and see if I can come up with a concrete example, but I believe earlier in the week one of the clues was “There are more innocents in row 4 than row 5” and at the time Row 5 was fully revealed and had only one innocent. Row four had one innocent, two criminals and an unknown. The unknown must be innocent, but it wouldn’t let me pick that until a few clues later.

I’m pretty sure you’re at fault here. You haven’t considered all the options and there is at least one combination that fits all given values where the person you selected is NOT innocent. The game as far as I can tell is perfect at calculating all permutations of current information.

I don’t believe the example you gave could occur in the way you presented it.

I did really badly today

Yeah 90% of my time was figuring out Vince

That’s pretty much where i gave up.

The way I got it, if it helps you in the future.

  1. From Eli, we know there’s only 1 more innocent on the edges
  2. We knot Tina has 1 more innocent neighbor
  3. If that innocent is Xia or Zed, Vince (and every other remaining edge) is criminal
  4. If it’s Olivia, Petra needs an additional innocent to maintain an odd innocent count
  5. If that’s Tina or Karen, Vince is criminal
  6. If it’s Hal, Xia and Wanda would need to be criminal/ innocent pair from Quita’s clue so Vince is criminal

Basically use the corner flags, walk through possibilities, and notice if someone always stays the same color.

Today’s “brutal” was so much easier than yesterday’s “hard” that I’d almost call it a “tricky”

I can’t really compare, because i have up yesterday, and today i got a clue from my son (which one can i solve next?)

But i think the upper left yellow is unfair. I guessed the right answer for that cell, and i didn’t think any other actual clues were revealed between solving others and re-solving it. I guessed it as a result of a lengthy elimination process (if a, then b, until i came up with a contradiction) and i thought the other answer had given me a contradiction.

Yeah, I don’t recall seeing a “brutal” difficulty before, but I didn’t think this was that bad.

Really disappointed in my time on this one. Stuck on Logan’s neighbors for way too long.

OK, it looks like the first set I did, the “week’s story” was a fluke, and that doesn’t usually happen. So I’m back to one-a-day.
