Coca-cola and real sugar.

Update: Passover Coke is on the shelves; I just picked up four bottles, and I’ll be back for more. A treat for the Cleveland Dopefest, along with the micros I’ve been snapping up recently.

Imperial-Savannah LP is based in Sugarland, Texas, a suburb to the southwest of Houston. Sugarland used to be known for two things: Imperial Sugar and the Sugarland prison farm. The sugar silos are gone now, lost to suburbanization and rising land prices. The prison farm is still there, though it will probably be sold eventually.
[/Loudly :D]

As fetus noted, non-corn syrup sweetened Coke is available in several other countries. I find there is a big difference in taste and also, that weird squeaky-coated feeling on your teeth (OK, maybe it’s just me) is absent. If you’re lucky enough, yes you can find Kosher Coke around Passover; I call my grocery store ahead and ask if they have it and exactly where it’s stocked in the store- they put it in pretty unpredictable places sometimes. I blame the government for the popularity of corn sweeteners due to farm price supports and all. Yuck.
