The phrase “some speculate” when making claims should be a warning bell in and of itself. If someone’s speculation is the best evidence they can drum up for a point, it’s a good indication the article is biased and unreliable.

I used to drink tea (I’m English y’see) on holiday in the USA about 15 years ago I tasted REAL home brewed coffee, black and bitter.
Ever since that first taste I’ve been hooked on the beautiful stuff and you can shove tea where the sun don’t shine.

I suspect there’s no yes/no answer to this, or related ones about alcohol or dairy or whatever. There seems to me to be a variety of effects, some positive and some negative, and which set wins out will probably vary with each individual and with time for that individual.
Todays study is tomorrows bull. The experts have changed position on coffee once a month. Salt. alcohol and others have same rgythm. There is no definitve knowledge. Listen to Franklyn,everything in moderation. Only drink 8 or 10 coffees a day. Good for you.

You and me both. If coffee is hazardous to my health, lack of me having coffee can be hazardous to the health of everyone else.
