On a recommendation I checked this movie out and it was interesting. The premise is that on a night where a comet is going over head a dinner party discovers that the house down the street contains copies of themselves. It is a very small scale (basically no special effects) and low key take on parallel universes (kind of how Primer was a low key take on Time Travel). Plus it’s got Xander from Buffy in it. It’s the first time I saw him in anything since Kitchen Confidential.
I don’t want to over hype it but if you have Amazon Prime, it is free to watch and worth the 90 minutes. I liked it.
I just watched this based on the OP’s recommendation. Interesting premise with a cool twist at the end. I didn’t like most of the characters, and I sense I wasn’t supposed to, especially given the ending (where she basically chooses the set of friends she likes best). I don’t know if it was a good movie, but it will be on my mind.
Very interesting and clever. I have to go through it again to pick up some details. I’m not a fan of shaky cameras and Altmanesque natural dialog but it worked fairly well here. It may not be for everybody, but if you’re tired of typical Hollywood you’ll probably like the experience.
