Cold Case 03/12

This series makes use of a lot of music to establish the mood. Strangely, tonight’s episode used the theme song of a series that currently airs – House. I wonder what thinking went into this selection.

I’ve noticed that they tend to use music from the year in which the cold case originally occurred: in this case, 1998. The song in question is “Teardrop” by Massive Attack from 1998.

However, the final song used in this episode was “Return to Innocence” by Enigma, which is from 1994. This kind of bothered me for some reason, because they’re usually so good about being accurate.

I loathe this show. Why on earth did the …

… drug mule allow herself to be gutted instead of using the stashed heroin to bargain for her life? And who on earth would disembowel a person in the backseat of their latemodel SUV?? And who on earth would think that working as a secretary in Columbia would be a dream job better than doing almost anything else in the US, legally or otherwise??? A drug mule with a heart of gold???

Cripes I hate this show for its regularly trite, lazy writing.

And the Virgin Mary statue hadn’t been cleaned in eight years?

That must be one dirty Church!
