Colin Dexter R.I.P.

The creator of Inspector Morse died on March 21. Colin Dexter created Inspector Morse in his own image | Daily Mail Online

“Inspector Morse” and “Inspector Lewis” are two of my all-time favorite TV series. My favorite episode is The Way Through the Woods. However, that’s mostly because of its very dramatic ending, which was one of several significant changes from the source novel.

I’m genuinely sorry to hear this. A memorial tribute of Morse episodes to look for Colin Dexter’s cameo appearances seems like a good idea.

I quite like the books. I was disappointed when Dexter killed off Morse, but I suppose it’s one way to retire.

Someone has already done clips of his cameos.

RIP Colin Dexter. I had and enjoyed all his boòks including his collection of short stories, which included a great take on the Holmes story A Case of Identity
